Childhood memories Playing wedding. Joyful226

As all little girls do, Sally wanted to play house, but first there had be a wedding. Johnny was all OK with it because he was only the minister, but Billy, well Billy not so much. He didn't want to marry "any old girl"! Even if she was only six years old. This was not what he bargained for at all. You see the way he got that honor of being the bridegroom was that Billy and Johnny stood next to each other as Sally pointed from one to the other and repeated this gesture until she finished her rhyme of, "eeney meeny miny mo", and low and behold she stopped on Billy. Poor Billy he didn't want to marry a "stupid girl". Johnny on the other hand felt quite happy about the fact that he didn't have to marry any "old girl". He got to play the preacher. Boy was he happy about that. Sally on the other hand just couldn't figure out why neither boy wanted to marry her. After all it was only pretend. Be that as it may, there they were all dressed up and ready to get married. Some little fairy flower girls were there as well watching it all. Johnny said to Billy.. "Billy do you take Sally be your wife." Billy's response was quick and short "No" as he turned his head and looked away. Poor Sally though, "This playing house idea really isn't all that great!" But looks at Billy pleadingly. Still Billy stands firm. No pleading eyes can change his mind. Not even his old buddy Johnny can change Billy's mind on this one. Thus there they stand. After a little while Sally said "Well if you don't want to play wedding how about playing Cowboys and Indians?" Both Billy and Johnny took to that idea right away. Thus this marriage was annulled before it ever got very far. And all lived happily ever after. (c) 4-23-2014
