: Vanessa Anne Hudgens was born in Salinas, California on December 14 1988 to Greg Hudgens and Gina Guangco. She was tutored at home from the Seventh Grade so she hasnt actually attended High School. Starting at the age of eight, Vanessa performed in musical theatre as a singer. She later successfully auditioned for a commercial and subsequently moved to Los Angeles with her family. She has a younger sister Stella, who like her is also an actress. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are seeing each other, this was confirmed in April this year in the myspace blog for magazines, Popstar!, J-14. Several others have since come forward to confirm the relationship. Vanessa's music video for her single Say Ok (which also features Zac) is said to be a kind of coming out for their relationship. Vanessa began performing at an early age, she started at age eight appearing in musicals.This was by taking a friend's place who couldn't go to their audition. She then moved to Los Angeles and scored roles on shows such as Quintuplets, Cover Me, Drake & Josh and Still Standing. Then came her film debut in Thirteen as Noel and then she was in the 2004 Thunderbirds film as Tintin. Her television appearances include parts on Still Standing, The Brothers Garcia. Then there was The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, where Vanessa had a recuring role as Corrie, a classmate of Maddie (played by fellow HSM star Ashley Tisdale). Her biggest role by far has been starring in the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical, which premiered in January 2006. Flming for the second High School Musical film finished on April 13, 2007, in St. George and Salt Lake City, Utah. The film is scheduled to be shown on the US Disney Channel on August 17, 2007.
