SOME TIPS FOR MAKING STAMPS:
Get Adobe photoshop if you can-it's an awesome program for editing and creating. To take the background out of a picture use extract or the eraser. Save in gif or png form. To make semi- transparent edges- set the opacity to 25% or less and erase the edges only once. This MUST be saved in PNG form. It took me months to figure this out. PNG must be used for all semi-transparent stamps.
WEBSITES for PHOTO-EDITING: Lunapic.com is the best. Photobucket now has a very good photoediting program through fotoflex. The cartoonize makes great animes from real pictures.

I love to take pictures and have at least one camera by my side at all times. I love digital photography. No more film to pay for and I can see the results instantly. I've spend thousands on film over the last 40 years. Anyway, I take at least 25 pics a day-even of stuff on youtube and the TV. I will stop in the middle of the street and jump out of the car, camera in hand, if I see something worth taking a picture of, like a nice garden of flowers, or a great scene or even rocks. I see with blingee eyes and if I think it needs to be made into a Blingee or stamp-it's on my camera. If anyone wants something special -let me know-I have Photoshop and love to use it. I even fall asleep while making stamps because I've been up too long and wake up to find I've erased a big slash down the middle of my image. Thank goodness for step backward. I love to look at and rate the blingees people have made from my stamps. Let me know ideas that you have too, so I can make stamps that you can use.
I don't comment as much because I spend my extra time making and uploading stamps. My keyboard sticks and is frustrating to use. I hope to get a new one soon. I'm also losing feeling in my fingers due to health problems so it's getting harder to type. Please don't take it personally. Thank all of you for your comments to me!!

I'm Michelle. I am 57 and live in Nebraska, mother of 3 and grandmother of 3 who all are the subjects of my blingees. I have spent several years taking art classes and making art and Blingee is a great creative outlet for me. I love learning new things and currently am on a stamp and creative photo editing kick. I'm Italian-American mix and can understand a little spanish, french and Italian. I use google translator for anything else. PS My computer is by my bed and I often sleep with it on so I can get to work on ideas when I wake up, so I'm here, just not always awake. I have severe arthritis and frozen shoulders, so some days my arms are stiff and I can only leave short comments or just rate.

ON GROWING OLD
I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my
own friend.. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant.
I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.
Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep
over a lost love ... I will.
I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set.. They, too, will get old.
I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And I eventually remember the important things.
Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.
I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face.
So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.
As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong.
So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day (if I feel like it).
