while doing what he was told to do by the sith, Anakin didnt realise just how he was sacrificing his innocence.. he plans to kill the sith and rule with padme, to save his child, wife, galaxy, and everything...by getting close enough to the sith to kill him. In the end, it is the side of him that has turned to the darkness (sith) that scares Padme away, and clouds obiwans vision enough to have the two "brothers" fight. Anakin is still within, but has sacrificed himself to save others.. others that he ends up losing..
